Custodian 3 - Lead

Responsibilities

• Assist the assigned supervisor in managing employees, including scheduling work times and assigning cleaning duties.
• Provide orientation and training to new employees and assist with recording time, attendance, and leave.
• Manage cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment through periodic inventories and supply requests.
• Conduct daily inspections of assigned areas and prepare maintenance requests via the MAXIMO work order system.
• Maintain inventory and safekeeping of keys for administrative and residential buildings.
• Lead a staff of 15+ custodians in the absence of a supervisor to ensure sanitary conditions.
• Participate in the supervisory on-call team and weekend rotations as an essential employee.

Requirements

• One year of experience in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or food service work.
• Basic computer skills for email communication and use of work order management systems.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and walk large buildings multiple times daily.
• Ability to ascend and descend stairs in multi-story buildings.
• Ability to lift, move, or transport furniture and equipment weighing 20-40 lbs.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, and crouch as required by duties.
