Responsibilities

• Provide experienced-level custodial services to academic and administrative buildings, including specialized laboratories, studios, and technical areas.
• Clean various environments by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, and polishing, including the handling of routine cleaning solutions.
• Manage waste and recycling by emptying containers and, when required, disposing of autoclave bio-hazardous waste following proper procedures.
• Maintain floor surfaces by stripping, waxing, and polishing using industrial-sized mops and commercial floor machines.
• Operate specialized equipment such as wet/dry vacuums and carpet extraction machines.
• Perform building maintenance tasks including washing interior windows, walls, and fixtures, and using power blowers on entryways.
• Assist with campus security by managing assigned building keys and setting up furniture or equipment for special events.
• Monitor and report maintenance needs, safety hazards, or energy management violations to supervisors.

Requirements

• Minimum of six months of experience in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or food service work.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment.
• Ability to handle hazardous materials and follow strict safety protocols.
