Custodial Staff

Responsibilities

• Maintain building appearance and cleanliness in academic and residential areas, including lobbies, classrooms, offices, and restrooms
• Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting fixtures
• Manage waste by emptying trash receptacles and handling recycling
• Assist with campus event set-ups and seasonal tasks like snow removal and entrance maintenance
• Follow safety protocols regarding chemical dilution and usage
• Secure buildings by locking/unlocking doors and managing lighting

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to follow written instructions, including chemical dilution ratios
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to operate simple systems
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stretch, kneel, and stoop
• Ability to work in various environments, including exposure to dust, fumes, or non-air-conditioned spaces

Benefits

• Starting wage of $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
• Shift differential pay available (+$0.75 to +$1.50 per hour)
• Opportunities for advancement to Custodial Lead (+$1.50 per hour)
• Full-time and part-time positions available across first, second, and third shifts
