Custodial Senior Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a high-performing team of approximately 20 custodians
• Plan work activities, establish schedules, and manage staffing requirements
• Perform administrative and payroll functions, including record keeping and overtime assignments
• Oversee supply orders, equipment maintenance, and inventory counts
• Train staff on cleaning standards and ensure compliance with university policies
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and address labor relations or grievance issues
• Maintain safety standards in compliance with University, State, and Federal regulations
• Perform Quality Assurance inspections on buildings to ensure high service levels

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience
• Considerable knowledge of custodial methods, materials, and equipment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Gmail, Google Drive (Sheets and Docs), and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
• Strong customer service skills and ability to build positive relationships with diverse groups

Preferred Qualifications

• College degree
• Familiarity with task-team cleaning models
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (e.g., AiM)
• Experience working in a union environment and administering labor contracts
