Custodial Carpet Cleaner

Responsibilities

• Clean carpets, stairways, and maintain floor surfaces in lobbies through vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping
• Maintain lobby cleanliness by cleaning walls, doors, windows, and ceilings
• Clean and maintain back-of-house support areas including offices, break rooms, restrooms, and locker rooms
• Utilize specialized floor cleaning equipment for carpets and hard surface flooring
• Use various types of vacuums and cleaning tools to maintain resort standards
• Clean up after guests and interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner
• Coordinate with other departments to complete cleaning activities safely

Requirements

• Ability to walk and stand constantly throughout the shift
• Ability to push and pull up to 100 lbs occasionally
• Flexible and adaptable schedule, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work independently in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive communication skills to immediately report concerns or react to situations

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel housekeeping environment
• Previous experience in professional cleaning (office buildings, hospitals, or restaurants)
• Specific experience in carpet care and use of encapsulation, extraction, or odor-eliminating machines
• Knowledge of Hawaiian or Japanese languages
