About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, write, and refine CS and STEM curricula for K-12 and beyond, focusing on robotics and machine learning
  • Develop concrete instructional materials consistent with high-level instructional concepts and outlines
  • Design novel lessons that meet the constraints of diverse learning environments
  • Organize and run user testing sessions and collect data to generate useful insights
  • Coordinate input from subject matter experts, researchers, instructors, and students
  • Run professional development and training sessions using curricular offerings
  • Participate in occasional outreach events and travel to facilitate on-demand training

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of teaching or instruction experience
  • Experience authoring content for mixed online media (text, animations, video, and interactive elements)
  • Technical background in a computing-related field or a record of curriculum development for computing content
  • Background in instructional design or pedagogy
  • A portfolio containing at least one completed piece of work
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain Child Protection Clearances (Act 153)
  • Ability to pass a successful pre-employment background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing structured learning programs that align with organizational goals and learning outcomes
  • Knowledge of both academic environments and agile team development methods
