Culinary Worker

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items, salads, sandwiches, and desserts using various kitchen appliances
• Assist Cook II with meal preparation and recipe modification
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness by washing dishes, polishing stainless steel, and cleaning equipment
• Sanitize kitchen tables, shelves, and floors, and vacuum dining areas
• Manage food supplies by transporting items to cold storage and stocking dining facility areas
• Adhere to all government food service regulations and safety practices

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of experience in the food service industry
• Current Food Handlers Card (must be able to provide proof at date of hire)
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, fingerprints, and drug test
• Ability to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a high-volume, institutional food service setting
• Certified Food Professional
