Culinary Services Line Cook

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes
• Prepare hot food, accompaniments, and garnishes following recipes and preparation guides
• Set up workstations and cooking equipment for meal service
• Complete food temperature checks and taste all prepared items
• Maintain cleanliness and working order of tools, equipment, and supplies
• Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations
• Assist with evacuations and communicate safety hazards to supervisors

Requirements

• Knowledge of food preparation and handling techniques
• General knowledge of safety and sanitation rules and practices
• Ability to work in a high volume, high stress environment
• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Current Food Handler’s Permit
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous cooking or food service experience
• Demonstrated competency of Physical Assessment within 90 days
