Culinary R&D Training Manager

Responsibilities

• Operationalize R&D output by building real-world playbooks, prep sequences, and station setups
• Design and run training curricula and certification systems for new menu launches
• Monitor kitchen KPI dashboards including ratings, COGS, waste, and ticket times
• Perform field diagnostics to identify root causes of underperformance and execute corrective plans
• Partner with R&D to ensure recipes are executable in high-volume kitchen environments
• Ensure kitchen readiness for new brand or menu launches

Requirements

• 2+ years in food operations, multi-unit management, or QSR/fast-casual leadership
• Experience running or overseeing high-volume kitchens
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret performance data (COGS, waste, etc.)
• Proven background in building and running training programs
• Ability to write effective SOPs and playbooks
• Willingness to travel and work on-site in kitchens as needed
• Ability to remain calm and diagnostic under high-pressure environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with digital-first, ghost kitchen, or delivery-only operations
• Experience with kitchen tech platforms such as KDS, POS, and ordering systems
