Culinary Purchasing Agent

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of culinary equipment, food, and consumables for a large-scale dining operation.
• Source everything from industrial appliances to small wares like spatulas and whisks.
• Collaborate with chefs, catering, events, and accounting teams to meet daily menu needs.
• Establish and maintain relationships with a diverse range of vendors, including local farmers and national wholesalers.
• Balance quality, sustainability, and cost when sourcing regional, international, and seasonal offerings.

Requirements

• Proven experience in equipment procurement.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
• Willingness to relocate to the Madison, WI area (relocation reimbursement provided).
• Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• COVID-19 Vaccination.
