Culinary and Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Direct the overall culinary and operational performance of the Tiger Cooler dining venue.
• Supervise back-of-house staff and supervisory personnel, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Manage staffing plans, employee scheduling, and labor deployment to ensure operational efficiency.
• Oversee food ordering, inventory practices, and cost-control systems for food and labor.
• Establish and reinforce standards for food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety compliance.
• Maintain an active leadership presence on the floor to guide staff and ensure service continuity during high-volume periods.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ServSafe Manager certification.
• At least 3 years of experience in food service, culinary operations, or retail dining operations.
• Proven experience supervising staff and managing day-to-day operations.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage food production, scheduling, ordering, and inventory.
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in culinary arts or a related field.
• Experience leading back-of-house operations, including menu execution and cost control.
• Experience in college/university dining or large-scale contract food service environments.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
