Culinary and Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Direct the overall culinary and operational performance of the Tiger Cooler dining venue, ensuring high standards for food quality, presentation, and service.
• Supervise back-of-house staff and supervisory personnel, including hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Develop staffing plans and manage schedules based on business levels, labor targets, and operational priorities.
• Oversee food ordering, inventory practices, and product utilization to maintain cost-control systems and reduce waste.
• Establish and reinforce standards for food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain an active leadership presence on the floor to guide staff and ensure operational continuity during high-volume periods.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ServSafe Manager certification.
• 3 years of experience in food service, culinary operations, or retail dining, including staff supervision.
• Demonstrated experience in food preparation, production oversight, scheduling, and inventory management.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in culinary arts or a related field.
• Experience leading back-of-house operations in large-scale retail dining or contract food service.
• Experience in a college or university dining environment.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
