About the role
Responsibilities
- Produce diagnostic-quality CT images using approved protocols and professional standards
- Maintain accountability for patient safety, including screening, preparation, and post-procedure care
- Administer oral and IV contrast media in accordance with department policies and physician orders
- Establish IV access for contrast administration and related lab draws
- Operate imaging equipment, perform quality assurance, and maintain imaging room readiness
- Coordinate exam flow and prioritize time-sensitive studies to ensure a positive patient experience
- Maintain accurate documentation in medical records and image archive systems (PACS)
- Adhere to all radiation safety, infection prevention, and organizational compliance standards
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program
- ARRT Computed Tomography (CT) certification
- Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Accreditation
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in a clinical CT setting
