CT Technologist

Responsibilities

• Perform computed tomography procedures and make radiation exposures by energizing the scanner
• Properly position and immobilize patients on CT scanning cradles
• Confirm that all pertinent patient and procedural data is correct
• Perform intravenous injections and administer oral, rectal, and IV radiographic contrast agents
• Assist radiologists with biopsies and drainage procedures
• Maintain working knowledge of CT IT systems, including Radiant and PACS
• Participate in on-call rotation and timeout as required

Requirements

• Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• BLS Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
• Ability to work night shifts on a weekend schedule (three 12-hour shifts)

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an ARRT accredited institute
• Advanced modality registration in CT (or ability to obtain within 2 years)
• 1 year of experience as a CT or Rad Tech
• Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) and PACS
• State Licensure
