Responsibilities

  • Perform CT scans on patients as ordered by physicians, ensuring adherence to protocols and safety standards
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns
  • Operate and maintain CT equipment, ensuring functionality and compliance with safety regulations
  • Administer contrast media and monitor patients for any adverse reactions
  • Assist in positioning patients correctly to obtain the best images for diagnosis
  • Review images for quality and completeness before submitting them to radiologists
  • Document all procedures and patient interactions accurately in the medical record
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to infection control practices
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved radiologic technology program
  • Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certificate in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology
  • Current California Fluoroscopy Permit
  • ARRT(R) required; ARRT(CT) certification required or to be obtained within 1 year
  • Valid California venipuncture certification for radiologic technologists
  • Documented evidence of Image Gently and Image Wisely dose pledges
  • Ability to maintain 24 CE credits per two-year period
  • Deep knowledge of California Title 17 and 10 CFR 20 regulations
