Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans on patients as ordered by physicians, ensuring adherence to protocols and safety standards
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns
- Operate and maintain CT equipment, ensuring functionality and compliance with safety regulations
- Administer contrast media and monitor patients for any adverse reactions
- Assist in positioning patients correctly to obtain the best images for diagnosis
- Review images for quality and completeness before submitting them to radiologists
- Document all procedures and patient interactions accurately in the medical record
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to infection control practices
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography
- CT certification preferred
- State licensure as required
- Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in CT imaging
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
