About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and STAT CT examinations ensuring precise patient positioning and ALARA adherence
- Review completed exams for quality and communicate critical findings to physicians
- Assist physicians during specialized procedures such as CT-guided biopsies
- Oversee and perform venipuncture for contrast administration
- Manage the facility’s Radiation Safety and Protection Program
- Act as primary site contact for CDPH Radiologic Health Branch and ACR inspections
- Coordinate mandatory physicist appointments for equipment testing
- Direct site CT Accreditation compliance and renewal with the ACR
- Manage daily patient flow and equipment maintenance logs
- Act as a clinical preceptor for staff technologists
Requirements
- Graduate of an ARRT-approved radiologic technology program
- Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certificate
- Current California Fluoroscopy Permit
- ARRT(R) certification required; ARRT(CT) required or obtainable within 1 year
- Valid California venipuncture certification
- Documented evidence of Image Gently and Image Wisely dose pledges
- Ability to maintain 24 CE credits per two-year period
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of California Title 17 and 10 CFR 20 regulations
- Proficiency in managing departmental staffing and supplies during surges
