CT Technologist

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and STAT CT examinations ensuring precise patient positioning and ALARA adherence
• Review completed exams for quality and communicate critical findings to physicians
• Assist physicians during specialized procedures such as CT-guided biopsies
• Oversee and perform venipuncture for contrast administration
• Manage the facility’s Radiation Safety and Protection Program
• Act as primary site contact for CDPH Radiologic Health Branch and ACR inspections
• Coordinate mandatory physicist appointments for equipment testing
• Direct site CT Accreditation compliance and renewal with the ACR
• Manage daily patient flow and equipment maintenance logs
• Act as a clinical preceptor for staff technologists

Requirements

• Graduate of an ARRT-approved radiologic technology program
• Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certificate
• Current California Fluoroscopy Permit
• ARRT(R) certification required; ARRT(CT) required or obtainable within 1 year
• Valid California venipuncture certification
• Documented evidence of Image Gently and Image Wisely dose pledges
• Ability to maintain 24 CE credits per two-year period

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of California Title 17 and 10 CFR 20 regulations
• Proficiency in managing departmental staffing and supplies during surges
