About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate CT scan machines independently to perform diagnostic imaging for head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and extremity scans
- Prepare patients by explaining procedures, positioning them accurately, and administering contrast media under physician supervision
- Monitor patients during scans and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions
- Perform routine quality checks, calibration, and first-level maintenance of CT equipment
- Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient details, contrast usage, and radiation dose logs
- Ensure strict compliance with AERB radiation safety guidelines and hospital policies
- Coordinate with radiologists for image review and report preparation
- Manage CT scan scheduling, patient flow, and inventory of consumables
Requirements
- B.Sc in Radiology / Medical Imaging Technology or DMRIT from a recognized institution
- Valid AERB radiation worker registration or radiation safety certificate (mandatory)
- Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience operating a CT scan machine
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols and contrast media administration
- Familiarity with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and RIS (Radiology Information Systems)
- Proficiency in Kannada, Hindi, and/or English
- Ability to work in shifts, including nights and weekends
