About the role

Responsibilities

  • Operate CT scan machines independently to perform diagnostic imaging for head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and extremity scans
  • Prepare patients by explaining procedures, positioning them accurately, and administering contrast media under physician supervision
  • Monitor patients during scans and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions
  • Perform routine quality checks, calibration, and first-level maintenance of CT equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient details, contrast usage, and radiation dose logs
  • Ensure strict compliance with AERB radiation safety guidelines and hospital policies
  • Coordinate with radiologists for image review and report preparation
  • Manage CT scan scheduling, patient flow, and inventory of consumables

Requirements

  • B.Sc in Radiology / Medical Imaging Technology or DMRIT from a recognized institution
  • Valid AERB radiation worker registration or radiation safety certificate (mandatory)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience operating a CT scan machine
  • Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols and contrast media administration
  • Familiarity with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and RIS (Radiology Information Systems)
  • Proficiency in Kannada, Hindi, and/or English
  • Ability to work in shifts, including nights and weekends
