CSU Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledge, expertise, input training, and consultative support for CSU project related activities
• Participate in testing, planning, turnover coordination, material management, and quality control
• Ensure support of Commissioning and Start-Up (CSU) duties including installation configuration validation and test planning
• Schedule and assist planning of CSU execution activities including sequence and resource requirements
• Prepare equipment test records and pre-op testing binders
• Participate in construction to CSU turnover walkdowns
• Coordinate with construction field engineers to support component/system turnover
• Initiate and track punch list development during testing
• Perform and monitor testing of equipment to assure conformance with requirements and compliance with test procedures
• Ensure work is undertaken safely and activities are supported to meet schedule and cost

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemistry, Physics, or related) from an ABET accredited program
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance
• Previous experience with Y-12 procedures, programs, and processes
• Previous experience as a CSU test engineer
• In-depth knowledge of NFPA-70e
• Previous commercial or Department of Energy experience with NQA-1 requirements supporting operational readiness reviews
