Cryptocurrency Investigator

Responsibilities

• Conduct cryptocurrency tracing using blockchain tools such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic, and CipherTrace to evaluate transaction data.
• Unravel interconnections between digital wallets and real-world identities to identify the flow of funds and unique transaction patterns.
• Support investigations into financial crimes, money laundering, and cyber-enabled illicit activities.
• Assist in the preparation and administration of client training to increase awareness of digital asset use for illicit purposes.

Requirements

• An active and maintained Top Secret (TS) Federal or DoD security clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• 3+ years of experience in cybercrime and cryptocurrency investigations.
• Deep understanding of blockchain analytics, cryptocurrency analysis, and electronic evidence analysis.
• Proficiency in Deep and Dark Web intelligence gathering and Open Internet/social media analysis.
• Strong knowledge of criminal activities including money laundering, white-collar crime, and transnational organized crime.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with government agencies and law enforcement.
• Professional certification in blockchain analytics tools.
• Specialized knowledge of financial investigative groups and task forces targeting financial crime.
• Ability to research, extract, and correlate large amounts of raw data into actionable reports and data visualizations.
