Cryogenic Modelling & Simulation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design hydrogen systems and related cryogenic and non-cryogenic components such as pumps, valves, and heat exchangers
• Identify component requirements and core parameters based on system architecture through simulation tasks
• Drive system-level simulation topics to investigate performance behavior
• Contribute to verification strategies by defining system and component-level tests
• Perform component sizing for pumps, valves, burst discs, heat exchangers, piping, and tanks
• Define controls logic and consolidate inputs for architecture trades

Requirements

• Experience in cryogenic applications, specifically with H2 and N2
• Proficiency in Python for 0D/1D sizing and data pre-post processing
• Experience with AMEsim for dynamic studies (0D/1D)
• Proficiency in Matlab and Dymola
• Knowledge of the FMI standard for model interfacing
• Experience with CFD tools such as StarCCM+
• Strong understanding of system controls, development, and validation
• Knowledge of 1D tools for phase change phenomena and general thermodynamics
