About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform all handling required for preparing vehicle carcasses
- Operate and maneuver a loader
- Operate the crusher to compact and crush vehicles
- Load crushed vehicles onto trucks
- Maintain accurate records and complete daily activity reports
- Work safely and comply with company health and safety policies
- Comply with the Highway Safety Code
- Perform pre-use inspections and monitor machinery operation
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- At least one year of experience operating heavy machinery
- Solid understanding of the Highway Safety Code
- Strong organizational and customer service skills
- Ability to work autonomously and resourcefully
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational diploma in heavy equipment operation
- Class 1 driver’s license
