Crude Trader

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement negotiating tactics to maximize overall value and complement supply/sales strategies.
• Review market conditions and short-term supply plans to optimize economic margin and locational arbitrage.
• Execute discretionary trade and business development opportunities, including storage, blending, and freight deals.
• Negotiate and execute purchase, exchange, and sale contracts.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships with counterparties and business partners.
• Collaborate with Credit, Legal, and Accounting teams to manage logistical, financial, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage basis exposure and physical inventory positions within operational and financial constraints.
• Optimize transportation and storage asset utilization to maximize economic benefit.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of experience in Trading or Marketing.
• Proven experience with profit/loss (P&L) responsibility for product trading.
• Experience in contract negotiation and scheduling (rail, truck, vessel, and pipe).

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep understanding of the Permian Basin crude oil market and logistics.
• Existing industry relationships within the crude oil sector.
