Cross-Functional Engineer - Systems

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-market technical assessments of large data sets using SQL, AI agents, and statistical software.
• Provide technical input to cross-functional investigation teams to identify the root cause of system-level issues.
• Propose technical solutions and communicate progress and conclusions to senior management and stakeholders.
• Promote collaboration across various engineering disciplines including design, test, software, R&D, and manufacturing.
• Participate in special studies and experiments to improve system quality, reliability, and the definition of new components or processes.
• Serve as an independent reviewer to determine system-level impacts of proposed design changes and conduct design reviews.
• Support the system-level risk management process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related Engineering/Scientific field.
• 3+ years of relevant, well-rounded professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and concepts.
• Proven ability to apply systems thinking principles to accelerate performance.
• Experience leading complex system and risk analysis.
• Ability to utilize data to make decisions and influence stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with scripting in Python.
• Experience with log analysis in SQL and automation with JUMP.
• Demonstrated experience in at least two functional areas: software, mechanical/hardware, electrical, chemistry/materials science, or data analytics.
