Critical Environment Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain critical datacenter infrastructure through monitoring, inspection, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems
• Perform planned, predictive, and corrective maintenance on equipment such as HVAC, generators, and UPS systems
• Troubleshoot equipment and system anomalies independently within trained disciplines
• Develop and follow Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure safe and reliable execution
• Enforce strict safety and security requirements, including job hazard assessments and security governance frameworks
• Coordinate with third-party contractors and vendors, providing necessary escorts and ensuring work is performed to scope
• Document all maintenance activities, troubleshooting steps, and equipment changes within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and stairs
• Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background checks and meet all security screening requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or technical trade certification (e.g., military or trade school)
• 2+ years of experience in mission-critical services (e.g., data centers, refineries, hospitals, or manufacturing)
• Knowledge of critical electrical and mechanical systems including chillers, air handlers, and static transfer systems
