About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily activities and functioning of the MSNICU Critical Care Response Team (CCRT)
- Provide direction, ongoing development, and mentorship to team members
- Ensure 24/7 CCRT scheduling coverage and resource availability for training
- Develop and deliver educational in-services for CCRT providers and ward staff
- Lead or participate in quality improvement initiatives related to CCRT services
- Liaise with ward leadership and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of patient care
- Perform administrative duties including data collection, reporting, and human resources tasks
- Act as a Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) for 40% of the role to support unit operations
Requirements
- Baccalaureate in Nursing (Masters preferred)
- Three years of nursing experience in a tertiary care ICU
- Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to build collaborative teams
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, SharePoint, and EPIC
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Current MSNICU experience
- Previous CCRT experience
- CCRN certification
