Critical Care Outreach Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced level of care to critical patients throughout the Medical Center
• Respond to Rapid Response Team pages and ward cardiac arrest calls
• Assess and recognize deteriorating patient conditions and implement necessary interventions
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to manage complex priorities
• Assist and accompany patient transfers to higher levels of care or diagnostic testing
• Maintain accurate documentation for Rapid Response Team, cardiac arrests, and stroke team activations
• Participate in data review and collation to improve patient outcomes and quality of care

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Must enroll in a BSN program within 6-9 months of hire and complete it within 30 months
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• ACLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• CCRN certification
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
• At least 2 years of relevant ICU experience
