About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide immediate "hands-on" crisis support through phone counseling and mobile in-person crisis intervention.
- Perform rapid assessments, support hospitalization when necessary, and link individuals to community resources.
- Develop crisis prevention plans and write timely action plans with measurable outcomes.
- Conduct assertive outreach to individuals identified as high users of crisis services.
- Complete all required progress notes and documentation in a timely manner.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide backup support to overnight staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Valid US driver's license held for at least two years (excluding permit time).
- Access to a reliable vehicle with valid registration and insurance during work hours.
- No serious traffic convictions within the past three years (e.g., DUI, reckless driving).
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, including 10-hour shifts that may occur on weekdays or weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior work or internship experience related to mental health services.
