Criminology Instructor (Psychology of Addiction)

Responsibilities

• Deliver a 3-week module on the Psychology of Addiction for the Criminology Diploma program
• Utilize various instructional strategies and delivery methods to accommodate diverse learning styles
• Teach assigned courses in accordance with established course competencies
• Manage administrative tasks including taking daily attendance and grading tests, assignments, and exams
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends to enhance the student learning experience

Requirements

• University degree in Psychology or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of practical work experience in criminology, addictions, or psychology
• Proven addiction field experience gained specifically within the criminal justice system
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work onsite at the Halifax campus

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous teaching or instructional experience
