About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise scientific laboratory analyses and testing of evidentiary material for criminal and civil investigations
- Oversee case management for incoming cases and evidence within assigned sections
- Maintain staff levels, schedule personnel, and supervise overtime for subordinates
- Conduct training of personnel and advise management on training needs
- Resolve technical issues and assess testing nonconformance
- Identify deviations from management systems or laboratory procedures
- Report on management system performance and recommend risk reduction actions
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in criminalistics, forensic science, chemistry, biology, physics, molecular genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology, entomology, anthropology, ecology, or a related scientific field
- For Level IV: Four years of experience in criminalistics or forensic science, or a combination of education and experience
