Crewing Officer

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end crewing process for assigned vessels and regions, including recruitment, selection, appointment, contracting, and timely crew deployment
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant STCW, flag state, port state, ISM, and customer requirements
• Coordinate crew training, development, and appraisal processes
• Act as a key contact for crew and support internal stakeholders in resolving crewing matters
• Support continuous improvement through stakeholder engagement, crew localisation programmes, and Shipmate implementation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a relevant field
• 4–6 years of relevant experience, ideally within the maritime industry
• Solid knowledge of crewing, logistics procedures, and operational processes
• Good understanding of STCW, flag state, and port state legislation
• Strong stakeholder management skills
