Crew Chief I - Construction Staking

Responsibilities

• Supervise survey crew employees and oversee daily assigned project tasks
• Perform construction staking, boundary, topographic, and ALTA surveys accurately and efficiently
• Read and interpret construction plans including storm drainage, sewer tables, grades, and vertical curves
• Identify potential plan, computation, and constructability issues
• Ensure safe working conditions, assess hazards, and execute job hazard analyses
• Communicate proactively with group management regarding project status and issues
• Mentor and train Junior Crew Chief members
• Maintain vehicles, equipment, and work sites
• Act as company representative during field client interactions and maintain positive relations

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Demonstrated core competencies of Instrument Operator Level II
• Knowledge of TDS Software, Trimble Robotics, GPS equipment, Carlson Software, and Leica Robotics
• Valid driver's license
• Successfully pass motor vehicle records check, drug test, and functional assessment
• Punctual, dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented
