Credit Specialist - Underwriter

Responsibilities

• Review and verify applicant personal information and financial records for loans
• Evaluate loan applications against lending standards and inspect for fraudulent activity
• Engage dealer partners via phone, text, chat, and email to increase monthly funded loan counts
• Explain loan programs, decisioning models, and decline reasons (DTI, PTI, LTV) to dealers
• Provide onboarding support for new dealers on the contracting platform
• Communicate with consumers regarding application stipulations and handoffs

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of experience in Loan Underwriting or Loan Processing
• Experience in Sales or Customer Service, preferably in auto or powersports
• Strong understanding of DTI, PTI, and LTV ratios
• Proficiency reading income documentation such as paystubs, 1099, W2, 1040, and bank statements
• Ability to work a 10 AM - 7 PM CST shift with rotating Saturdays
• Proficiency with Salesforce, Slack, Gmail, and Google Sheets
