Credit Risk Manager, Auto Finance

Responsibilities

• Exercise delegated lending authority to approve credit exceptions, LTV deviations, and pricing adjustments
• Provide real-time direction on deal restructuring to improve pricing and approvals
• Extend credit authority into funding decision-making and resolve aged held offerings
• Validate stipulations prior to funding to reduce downstream friction
• Act as the primary feedback conduit between partners and Pagaya HQ
• Conduct win/loss and lost-deal analysis to identify market opportunities
• Monitor early performance indicators including first-payment default and fraud trends
• Resolve escalated credit and operational issues with partner stakeholders
• Deliver coaching and training for partner staff on best practices

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in auto finance credit, underwriting, risk management, or funding operations
• Direct experience working with auto dealers and indirect lending platforms
• Demonstrated credit and funding authority in high-volume environments
• Deep understanding of auto credit structures, exceptions, and funding workflows
• Ability to interpret automated credit decisions and explain outcomes to stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills across credit, data, and systems
• Data analytic skills and experience with market data platforms
• Ability to work cross-functionally with product, risk, and engineering teams
