About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop portfolio monitoring reports for internal and external communications
  • Design and optimize data-driven credit strategies, including underwriting criteria, credit limit assignments, and risk-based pricing
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis on risk exposure versus profitability to identify opportunities for product expansion or de-risking
  • Develop and track Early Warning Indicators to detect abnormal risk trends and macroeconomic shifts
  • Conduct rigorous A/B testing to evaluate the impact of strategy changes on portfolio profitability and delinquency
  • Build and optimize automated data pipelines to enhance the efficiency and scalability of risk monitoring
  • Perform continuous system analysis to identify data inconsistencies and drive data governance standards
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Data Science, Finance, Product, and Technology to ensure accurate risk reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Data Science, Math, or Quantitative Finance
  • 3+ years of post-qualification experience in analytics and/or credit risk
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel (Advanced/VBA), and Tableau
  • Familiarity with the end-to-end credit life cycle, including anti-fraud, collections, and merchant health
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify data anomalies quickly
  • Effective communication skills to present technical insights to non-technical business partners
  • Experience in Retail/SME Banking, Fintech, or Credit Ratings is a plus
  • Knowledge of Python is considered an advantage
