About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed credit risk analysis, including financial data and ratios, to qualify new and existing counterparties.
  • Utilize outside vendors such as S&P, Moody’s, and Dun & Bradstreet to research industry and counterparty data.
  • Conduct annual reviews of financial and credit data for assigned portfolios and assign credit risk ratings.
  • Assess, calculate, and monitor collateral and margin requirements, including cash margins and letters of credit.
  • Generate accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
  • Maintain counterparty data within the Allegro system.
  • Manage collections autonomously, negotiating payment plans and resolving disputes to protect settlement risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in commercial or wholesale credit.
  • Highly skilled in complex financial analysis related to evaluating creditworthiness.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience with receivable management systems.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the energy industry.
  • Experience within the banking sector.
