Credit Risk Analyst

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse credit portfolio including sovereign, corporate, and financial institution transactions.
• Interpret and ensure compliance with Group Credit Policy, standards, and procedures.
• Review Credit Application Forms (CAF) to ensure adequate risk explanation and mitigation.
• Monitor country developments and conduct annual reviews of bank exposure.
• Identify relationships or sectors that could result in elevated credit risk or non-repayment.
• Support risk-related project management, including departmental efficiency improvements and transformational projects.
• Participate in continuous professional development through internal seminars and external training.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a seasoned corporate credit professional.
• Extensive knowledge of the UAE/GCC corporate markets and credit contacts.
• University degree in Finance or an equivalent field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to present complex information clearly.
• Basic understanding of IFRS requirements.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of banking products and related market dynamics.
• Awareness of Performance Management tools.
• Institute of Bankers associate qualification or equivalent.
