Credit Ops Analyst

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new applications and existing corporate liability credit requests with a focus on credit quality and risk assessment
• Spread business financial statements and tax returns, perform ratio analysis, and complete risk assessments
• Make sound credit decisions and provide recommendations via written and verbal presentations
• Support credit recommendations when challenged and negotiate counteroffers where appropriate
• Independently manage underwriting for commercial requests of moderate to large size and complexity
• Collaborate with internal partners including Business Bankers, Business Development, and Risk Policy
• Investigate and initiate process improvements to enhance operational efficiency

Requirements

• Minimum one year of commercial credit lending experience
• Direct experience in commercial credit card lending
• Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and proprietary financial systems
• Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles
• Successful completion of a major corporate bank commercial training program or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a business-related discipline
• Previous experience working in a financial services or call center environment
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, consistently changing environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for helping customers
