Credit & Collections Representative

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor customer account portfolios and aging schedules
• Execute outbound collection activities via telephone and written correspondence
• Conduct credit evaluations for new customer applications using scoring frameworks
• Assess existing customer accounts for credit limit modifications
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and short payments
• Process and reconcile cash applications and investigate unapplied payments
• Implement credit holds and escalate delinquent accounts
• Document all collection activities and customer communications
• Generate aging reports and exposure analyses

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience in credit management, collections, or accounts receivable
• Knowledge of order-to-cash processes and credit risk assessment
• Professional communication skills for firm but relationship-focused conversations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, lookup functions)
• Strong organizational capabilities and attention to detail
• Self-directed work approach with high accountability

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TransportPro, Cargotel)
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Familiarity with HubSpot or other CRM tools
• Background in commercial credit reporting and underwriting
