Credit & Collection Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of accounts to reduce DSO, bad debt, and write-offs while improving cash flow.
• Research and analyze accounts, including payment patterns and sales history, to inform collection efforts.
• Reconcile billing and payment discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
• Schedule and participate in periodic status updates with Key Account Managers (KAMs).
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all collection activities.
• Flag “at-risk” accounts to leadership and recommend actions for legal or third-party escalation.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues and ensure timely task completion.

Requirements

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of collections experience in B2B and/or B2C settings.
• Proficiency in large ERP systems such as JD Edwards, SAP, or Oracle.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Credit Professional (CCP) designation.
• Bilingualism in French and English.
