Credit Clerk

Responsibilities

• Receive payments from banners, identify clients, and validate information
• Record payments in the accounting system and apply amounts to relevant invoices
• Perform reconciliation of client accounts using PDF, CSV, and EDI files
• Compare payments to weekly invoices and identify discrepancies, credits, or missing amounts
• Use banner platforms to deposit documents, transmit proof of delivery, and manage claims
• Verify compliance of documents such as signed invoices and delivery slips
• Update store profiles based on banner updates
• Manage a high-volume generic email inbox
• Perform initial collection steps for overdue accounts
• Communicate required actions to distributors and sales representatives to correct discrepancies
• Produce reports related to reconciliations and payment follow-ups

Requirements

• DEC in accounting or equivalent training
• Basic knowledge of accounting and billing cycles
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple files and meet tight deadlines
• Proficiency with PDF, CSV, EDI, Excel, Word, and Office 365
• Knowledge of Sage accounting system is an asset
