Credit and Collections Manager

Responsibilities

• Execute management responsibility for global credit operations, directing policies, procedures, and strategic plans.
• Coordinate and manage the performance of Credit Analysts by defining accountabilities and providing guidance.
• Partner with sales, marketing, and financial management to maximize revenue growth while minimizing financial risk.
• Evaluate creditworthiness through financial statement analysis, cash management, and bankruptcy principles.
• Work with Customer Service and Commercial teams to ensure credit limits remain within risk tolerance bands.
• Negotiate with customers and account managers to resolve credit issues and improve customer satisfaction.
• Implement and manage financial analysis programs and credit scoring models.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 10 years of related experience in Credit management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated experience with sophisticated credit scoring models and supporting technology.
• Solid knowledge of legal remedies in credit, including bankruptcy, foreclosures, bond claims, and arbitration.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.).
• Strong leadership and oral/written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma experience.
• Credit Card acceptance and surcharging experience.
• Oracle experience.
• Certified Credit Executive (C.C.E.) designation.
