Credit Analyst

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough credit analysis of potential and existing investments, including assessing issuer creditworthiness and analyzing financial statements.
• Identify, assess, and monitor credit risks within the portfolio and propose mitigation strategies to portfolio managers.
• Prepare credit investment recommendations and proposals aligned with company investment strategy and risk tolerance.
• Continuously monitor the performance of credit issuers and engage with external stakeholders such as rating agencies and investment banks.
• Assist in managing problem credits and participate in restructuring or recovery exercises.
• Prepare and present regular reports regarding credit risk exposure and market conditions to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with risk management, compliance, and finance departments to ensure a cohesive approach to credit exposures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in credit analysis, preferably within the insurance industry.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent understanding of credit markets, investment strategies, and risk management principles.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to convey complex information clearly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Professional certification such as CFA or CPA.
