Credentialed Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with routine appointments, surgeries, and patient care
• Collect and process diagnostic samples, administer medications, and prepare for surgeries
• Record detailed patient histories and manage pharmaceutical inventories
• Take and interpret radiographs, including dental X-rays, and perform ultrasonic dental cleanings
• Monitor general anesthesia, dress wounds, and assist with procedures like catheterization and ear flushes
• Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and treatment areas
• Educate clients on preventive care, dental hygiene, and nutrition
• Collaborate with the team to create a positive work environment
• Promote company services like grooming, daycare, and retail offerings

Requirements

• Veterinary Technician licensure in the state of New York
• 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and client-centric focus
• Ability to lift 20+ lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
• Technological savvy and interest in veterinary technology

Preferred Qualifications

• Fear Free certification
• HABRI certification
