About the Company

A1 is building a proactive smart assistant for everyday users to bring intelligence to conversations, errands, organizing, and workflows. The mission is to create high-reliability, AI-native experiences that handle multi-step reasoning and real-world task completion.

Responsibilities

• Prototype experimental AI interfaces beyond standard chat UI
• Build quick proof-of-concept experiences using AI models, APIs, and frontend tools
• Explore new ways for users to understand, direct, and collaborate with AI systems
• Test interaction ideas around human control, trust, transparency, memory, and multimodal input
• Work with product, design, and ML teams to turn early ideas into testable prototypes
• Identify and test useful HCI patterns from research and emerging tools
• Document experiments clearly, including successes, failures, and next steps

Requirements

• Experience prototyping at the intersection of design and technology (creative technology, design engineering, or R&D)
• Ability to build functional prototypes using web technologies, APIs, or AI tools
• Curiosity regarding AI system mechanics and user mental models
• Comfort moving between design thinking and hands-on building
• Awareness of HCI principles and emerging UI patterns
• Strong communication skills to explain experimental findings
• High comfort with ambiguity and early-stage product exploration
• Good judgment in distinguishing interesting experiments from useful ones
