Creative Media Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist in the logistical planning and production of engaging social media content, including videography, photography, and graphic design.
• Manage social media accounts for Colgate Athletics by posting highlights, game day graphics, and video clips.
• Support Media Day photoshoots, events, and interviews by setting up sound, lighting, cameras, and backgrounds.
• Develop, produce, and edit video board material, including in-game engagement content and hype videos.
• Attend home athletic events to shoot and produce cinematic content and low-angle highlights.
• Coordinate with various departments on storytelling ideas and stay updated on digital trends and student-athlete milestones.
• Travel occasionally with teams for regular and postseason events to capture multimedia content.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Media Production, Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, or a similar field (equivalent work experience will be considered).
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.).
• Experience working with Apple computers.
• Working knowledge of industry-standard cameras, camera settings, and lighting equipment.
• Ability to communicate professionally in timely and stressful situations.
• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Division I athletic experience.
• Experience capturing video using Sony equipment.
