Creative Foundations - Lecturer

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate interdisciplinary courses in the Creative Foundations sequence, specifically "Creativity: Process & Purpose" and "Creativity: Context & Collaboration."
• Facilitate high-energy, hands-on, and activity-based learning environments.
• Integrate Christian faith into the study of the creative process and disciplinary best practices.
• Collaborate with various disciplines including Architecture, Graphic Design, Photography, Film, and Fine Art.

Requirements

• Demonstrated commitment to the mission of California Baptist University and excellence in teaching through Christian faith integration.
• A history of quality university teaching experience or significant professional engagement in a creative field.
• Strong relational skills and the ability to work within a diverse, Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) environment.
• Submission of a professional portfolio (PDF or website link) is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• A terminal degree in a creative field such as Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Film, Photography, Art, or Illustration.
• Candidates currently working toward a terminal degree may be considered.
