About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of bold, culturally fluent, and insight-driven creative ideas rooted in sports fandom, athlete narratives, and competitive moments.
  • Partner with Strategy, Production, and Account teams to define brand narratives and storytelling perspectives, including documentary-style approaches.
  • Drive strategic, cross-platform storytelling across social, digital, streaming, linear, and long-form media environments.
  • Oversee rapid creative cycles and real-time ideation to turn live sports moments and trending cultural conversations into brand-aligned content.
  • Guide multidisciplinary teams of writers, art directors, producers, editors, and designers to ensure creative excellence from pitch to final delivery.
  • Serve as a trusted creative partner to clients, leading presentations and translating cultural nuances for the U.S. Hispanic community.

Requirements

  • 6–8 years of experience in a creative role, specifically within sports marketing, sports media, or branded sports content.
  • Proven expertise in documentary-style storytelling, athlete-driven narratives, or episodic content development.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating sports-driven creative work across digital, social, video, and streaming platforms.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. Hispanic cultural dynamics and cross-cultural storytelling frameworks.
  • Full fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken) with the ability to present seamlessly in both languages.
  • Experience leading social-first and creator-led content in high-velocity, real-time environments.
  • Ability to work onsite in New York, NY or Miami, FL and travel as needed for production.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with major global sports leagues or events (e.g., NFL, NBA, MLS, Liga MX, FIFA).
  • Experience within Hispanic-focused media platforms or multicultural agencies.
  • Recognition or awards for multicultural or bilingual creative work.
  • Strong knowledge of soccer and global football culture.
