Creative Director, Growth

Responsibilities

• Lead creative direction across growth initiatives, establishing high standards for storytelling, design, writing, and quality.
• Translate business objectives, audience insights, and performance data into breakthrough creative concepts.
• Develop scalable narratives that remain culturally relevant across global markets.
• Partner with Growth Marketing to shape briefs and balance creative experimentation with brand integrity.
• Steer external agencies by providing direction and ensuring work meets OpenAI's standards for craft and originality.
• Collaborate with designers, writers, motion teams, and producers to bring integrated ideas to life.
• Evolve creative processes and frameworks to enable speed without compromising quality.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in creative roles, including leading multidisciplinary work across social, growth, or integrated marketing.
• Demonstrated expertise in social-first creative and how ideas translate across evolving digital platforms.
• Proven experience working with and directing external agencies.
• Strong creative judgment supported by a portfolio of work across various channels and formats.
• Ability to use data and audience insights to sharpen creative thinking.
• Experience thriving in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
