About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate mobile, crawler, or rough-terrain cranes to lift, move, and position heavy loads including containers, equipment, skids, and pipes.
- Conduct daily pre-use inspections of brakes, hydraulics, wire ropes, hooks, and safety systems, reporting any defects immediately.
- Execute lifting operations in strict accordance with approved lifting plans, load charts, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Coordinate with Lifting Supervisors, Riggers, and Flagmen using radio and visual signals to ensure safe execution.
- Support yard material handling, warehouse loading/unloading, and quayside load-out/backload for vessel operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including daily crane logs, pre-use checklists, and operational reports.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience operating cranes within Oil & Gas, EPC, marine, or port environments.
- Certified Crane Operator with ADNOC-approved or recognized third-party certification.
- Valid UAE or project-relevant crane operation license.
- Strong technical knowledge of load charts, rigging principles, and lifting configurations.
- Proven ability to operate safely in high-risk, tight, or busy industrial environments.
- Experience with heavy and complex lifts in confined yard or quayside settings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Rigging and Banksman/Signalman awareness training.
- Basic safety training certifications such as H2S, Fire Awareness, or First Aid.
- Familiarity with ADNOC lifting protocols and Gulf-region industrial operations.
